14min running. 2,5km. A very short morning jog in the woods of Vinäs. Really nice paths,
and this place starts to feel as a perfect place for a training-camp...
36min running + 39min orienteering. 13,5km. When we arrived at the training-paradise near Skattungby,
it felt again that is not summer yet. +5C, cold wind and also some snow in the terrain. But, after a careful
warm-up the engine got ready and it was sooo nice to push a bit harder again. Did the 4,4km course first and
tried to run at long distance pace. It took 24.45 and I missed only once 15s. Then a short break and the the
2,9km course at middle distance race pace. That lasted for 14.45. This was really easy and fast terrain.
Average heart rates were of course lower than in races, but I have now finally (probably) learned that in most
of the trainings you shouldn't push to the outer limits. Especially when doing important o-technical training.
Now, the orienteering was in control all the time and I didn't bother myself with the thoughts of physical feeling.
Rather simple thing to find out and learn, but soo easy to forget as well.
8min running + 48min orienteering. 8,5km. After an interview for the local newspaper we drove to Gesunda for
the second o-session of the day. This was the only training in terrain-type similar to EOC-qualifications.
It was more rocky and hilly and in many sense also more difficult. Navigation in the empty slopes was
the biggest challenge and it reminded me of orienteering in Kainuu-region, at least in technical way. It worked
really good for me again and physical feeling remained good despite the hills and difficult running surface.'
